Frequently asked questions
Twenty short answers about the platform, listing a property, review and verification, talking to a seller, and your account.
The platform
What is Deed Marketplace™?
A marketplace of property listings. Owners and authorised sellers publish a property here, and people interested in it reach them directly.
About usHow does Deed Marketplace work?
Search the listings, open the ones that fit, and show interest. That opens a conversation with the seller inside your account. Every listing shows where its information came from.
ListingsDoes Deed Marketplace sell the properties?
No. We publish the listing and connect the two sides. The property belongs to the seller, and the deal is made between you and them.
Does Deed Marketplace take part in the negotiation?
No. Price, terms and closing are agreed directly between buyer and seller, each with their own advisers.
Does Deed Marketplace process payments?
No. No money moves through the platform. Anyone asking you to pay Deed Marketplace for a property is not acting for us — report it.
Listing a property
Who can list a property?
The owner, or someone the owner authorised. You can attach an ownership document during the submission, and our team may ask for one during the review.
List a propertyHow do I list a property?
Create an account, choose List a property, and follow the steps. You can stop at any point — the draft is saved.
List a propertyWhat information do I need to create a listing?
The full address, the location on the map, the home details and at least 3 photos. A walkthrough video and an ownership document are both optional.
List a propertyWhich properties can be listed?
Residential properties you own or are authorised to sell, with an address that can be confirmed and ownership you can document.
How do I remove my listing?
Open the property in your account and choose Unlist. It comes off the marketplace immediately and you can publish it again later.
List a propertyReview before publication
How does the review before publication work?
You submit the property, the Deed team reviews it, and it goes live once the review is complete. If something needs changing, you are told which step to fix. It is moderation, not an endorsement.
What does Deed Marketplace check?
Before publication we moderate the submission and the ownership document you attached. Moderation is not an endorsement: listings do not carry a Deed certification.
How long does the review take?
It is done in the order submissions arrive, on business days. You get a message when the status changes.
Why was my listing rejected?
The reason is shown on the property in your account, on the step that needs fixing. Correct it and submit again.
List a propertyDoes Deed Marketplace verify who owns the property?
When an ownership document is submitted with the listing, we check it. That is not a title search — confirm ownership, liens and occupancy independently before you commit.
Does Deed Marketplace verify the identity of sellers?
Every seller has an account and accepts the seller agreement before publishing. The listing shows whether it is owner-provided or came from a third party.
Talking to a seller
How do I contact a seller?
Open the listing and show interest. The conversation happens inside your account — you never need to publish your phone or e-mail.
ListingsWhere do I find my messages?
Under Messages in your account. Every conversation you started is there, with the property it refers to.
